K-Pop Boy Group OCJ NEWBIES Making Waves Ahead of Their Highly Anticipated Debut

Getting a rookie K-Pop group into the mainstream is a difficult task, but one boy group has already made a name for themselves well before they even debut.

OCJ NEWBIES is a pre-debut K-Pop boy group that is overflowing with talent as multiple members competed in popular music survival TV shows such as: Produce X 101, World Klass, and Stars Awakening. On top of having well rounded young men, their group and dance leader, Lex, grew up leaning modern dance while winning one competition after another in South Korea. With such a experienced dancer leading them, the chorography will be one of the many aspects to look forward to.

Based in Hong Kong, OCJ NEWBIES will be debut under One Cool Jacso Entertainment, but will be active in promoting their music in South Korea and all around the world. The group currently consist of thirteen members with plans of increasing the number to sixteen or more in the future. 

History in the K-Pop industry will be made with their debut as one confirmed member of OCJ NEWBIES is from Indonesia, making him the first-ever male idol from his home country. Alongside Indonesia, the upcoming group also has members from Korea, China and Hong Kong to create a diverse line up to represent East Asia. 

What sets this group apart from the others is that they are one of the very few to be featured in four major Asian fashion magazines before realizing their first album. In each of the Hong Kong editions of Cosmopolitan, ELLE MEN, Harper’s Bazaar, and Men’s Uno, all members of OCJ NEWBIES pull of multiple styles ranging from traditional to chic flawlessly.

Dreamcatcher Creates Sweet Dreams at Concord Music Hall

Girl group Dreamcatcher visits Concord Music Hall in Chicago on December 8 for their Invitation from Nightmare City Tour. Only six of the seven members traveled to the United States as Handong could not take part due to conflicting schedules back in South Korea. Red and yellow glow sticks start appearing as the opening video plays on the big screen. The colored lights increase with SuA, Siyeon, JiU, Yoohyeon, Gahyeon and Dami walk onto the stage. "Fly High" and their debut song "Chase Me" are preformed to kick off the show. The fans (InSomnia) instantly match the vibe that the songs provided.
